I am a dedicated Specialist Occupational Therapist and DBT Therapist based in the UK, with a passion for supporting individuals facing complex mental health challenges. With over 15 years of experience in the NHS, I have worked extensively with individuals including navigating PTSD, CPTSD, bipolar, personality disorders, anxiety, anger, low mood, depression and suicidal thoughts. I take a non judgemental, compassionate, evidence-based approach to mental health, helping clients build resilience and develop practical strategies for improving their well-being. Working collaboratively with individuals to support their recovery and support you to build a better life.
EXPERIENCE & ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Liz has a broad and diverse background in both mental and physical health, working across acute hospital settings, community mental health teams, and specialist therapy services. She is currently part of the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Consult Team within the NHS, delivering structured therapy to individuals with emotional dysregulation, borderline personality disorder (EUPD), and other complex mental health conditions.
Her roles include working in the University Community Mental Health Team, where she provided tailored support to students with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. navigating their way through the life changes that University brings. Additionally, she has extensive experience in Adult Community Mental Health Teams, where she carried out initial assessments, triage, duty, managed complex caseloads, and worked with conditions such as PTSD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder.
Beyond her clinical work, Liz is an active Placement Educator, supporting the next generation of mental health professionals. She is also a member of multiple professional bodies, demonstrating her commitment to best practices in mental health care.
